This brand new Hyundai Sonata will be expected to launch by 2011.

The Korean market version is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder producing 165 horsepower and delivering 30 mpg. The North American model will ship with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder unit in the base configuration, featuring direct injection. A a 3.5-liter V6 model will target upper-level competitors. Expect a little less than 200 horsepower from the four-cylinder and around 250 horsepower from the V6.
